Opening up about her big return, Demi Lovato has revealed that she's back in the studio and ready to continue onward on her much more happy and healthy journey.
While talking with "Seventeen" magazine, the 18-year-old dished about her record-in-progress, telling, “With my new album, I’m hoping to provide inspiration for girls everywhere who are going through the same issues I’ve faced. I think this will come through in a lot of the material."

Demi noted that one track in particular stands out to her, revealing, “My first single is really special to me— to me it symbolizes my journey from the person I was to the happy healthy person I am today, and the fact that people are able to rise above anything, despite the odds.”
Lovato added,“There are definitely a lot of emotions that go into making an album. I feel blessed, inspired, and nervous with anticipation, but mostly, I feel excited about the future, and about sharing this new record with my fans!”

In relation to her music career, Demi Lovato previously tweeted that she's currently working on new music and that fans will hear her new single soon. Lovato also mentioned that she wants to hit the road for a tour, sooner rather than later as Demi continues to work on her new music.

Demi Lovato says that she left her hit Disney TV show Sonny With A Chance so that she could focus on her music career, and it sounds like all her hard work has paid off. Demi's first post-rehab single will come out ahead of schedule.

Since leaving a rehab facility earlier this year, Demi has been focusing on her recovery and spending lots of time in the studio. It has taken a lot of work, but Demi Lovato is feeling good about her body these days.

"I've been working so hard to get healthy and fit," Lovato, 18, Tweeted on Monday, linking to a photo of herself strutting in a teeny-weeny white bikini. "I can't believe I'm about to [post] this but I'm so excited… Here's my bikini time body!"

Lovato, who acknowledges the process of loving her body "hasn't been easy," adds, "It starts with a commitment to yourself.. Your mind.. And your soul. And trust me, I'm still working at it!! Haha."

She's also sending a positive message to her young fans. "I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself," she writes.

Admitting she was "completely ashamed" of her figure in the past, Lovato says she's "excited how far I've come."

Disney has produced so many teen stars it’s tough to keep tabs on them all; but the one most recently going through the transition from child to adult star, Demi Lovato, is the one grabbing the headlines. Unfortunately, the only reason you grab headlines as a teenage actress is if something horribly wrong has occurred. Such is the celebrity eating machine; you rise, you fall, you’re built back up again.

So when Lovato checked herself into rehab for any number of self-destructive behaviors, we had to hear angry mothers bitch and moan about another role model becoming a bad apple; which is a real problem for parents who are not adequate role models for their children.

The star took to her twitter account (where she does most of her fan communication) to share the news, saying, "My mom's #staystrong tattoo!!! She got one too!!!!!" and "My mom surprised me with it when I was in treatment because that's how all you guys were showing support.. And she wanted to show me how..proud she was of me for getting help and changing my life.. I love her so much."

This story does bring a little bit of brightness to what is typically dark and stormy. Demi got a tattoo which reads “Stay Strong” to remind her of the support she received from her fans, or some such nonsense. In response, her mother got the exact same tattoo in order to support her daughter’s road to recovery. Having that kind of solidarity and goodwill with a parent when you’re going through a tough time is crucial for a kid in her situation, and hopefully this means she’s on her way back to the top of the Disney world - I’m getting tired of Selena Gomez.

Demi Lovato has recently changed the color of her hair for a lighter look. The young actress, who pulled out of her Disney Channel hit series "Sonny with a Chance" for the sake of her recovery, returned to being a brunette after dying her locks black post her rehab stint.

The former girlfriend of Joe Jonas unraveled her hair transformation by posting a photo of herself with the new hair via Twitter. Along with the image, she posted a caption that read, "Bee-tee-dubz.... Back to brown hair!!!" In a tweet that came following, she wrote, "Looks lighter in the sunlight.. Yayyy summer..."

In another news, Demi has unveiled her "ultimate stay strong playlist". A contributing editor for Seventeen magazine, she first explained in the introduction, "Music has always been a huge part of my life and has helped me some tough times. Certain songs always give me confidence, put me in a good mood, and inspire me."

The 18-year-old songstress went on to reveal that Eminem's "Not Afraid", BarlowGirl's "Surrender", Stacie Orrico's "Strong Enough" and Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" are some of the songs making the cut. Speaking of "Not Afraid", she shared, "This song is really inspiring to me because Eminem's album was based on his recovery. This song made me feel confident in conquering my diseases."

Looking fuller-figured and healthier than ever, Demi Lovato treated herself to a shopping spree in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (April 21).
The "Camp Rock" cutie stopped by the Urban Outfitters shop in search of some new duds after getting prettied up at a local salon.

The outing comes after the Disney star recently revealed in an upcoming 20/20 segment that she is bipolar and was treated professionally to help treat her bulimia.
In an interview with People Magazine, Lovato told, “I never found out until I went into treatment that I was bipolar.”

"Looking back it makes sense," she said of her diagnosis. "There were times when I was so manic, I was writing seven songs in one night and I'd be up until 5:30 in the morning."
Having been treated at Timberline Knolls in Illinois, the center tells of their warning clues of an eating disorder, "Anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and overeating disorders can have numerous combinations of signs, symptoms and causes. Additionally, several other eating and body image disorders are closely related to anorexia and bulimia, including orthorexia, body dysmorphic disorder, and exercise addiction."

The well-regarded facility adds, "Many people who suffer with eating disorders show no outward signs, but still experience overwhelming internal feelings that prompt them to rely on symptoms to control intense pain, anxiety or other troubling emotions. Eating disorders are not a phase of adolescence or an expression of vanity. It is critical for a sufferer to seek medical treatment for eating disorders at the earliest sign of symptoms. Research shows that early and adequate intervention leads to the best clinical outcomes."

Demi Lovato has revealed that she’s been struggling with bipolar disorder.
The 18-year-old entertainer told People, “I never found out until I went into treatment that I was bipolar….Looking back it makes sense. There were times when I was so manic, I was writing seven songs in one night and I’d be up until 5:30 in the morning.”
After treatment, though, Demi said, “I feel like I am in control now where my whole life I wasn’t in control.”
FYI: Bipolar disorder is when people experience major - and often abrupt - mood shifts where they’ll go from having an elevated or excited mood, called “mania,” to having feelings of depression.

Demi Lovato is set to collaborate with Timbaland. It looks like the talented young star is filling up his tight working schedule with another new project. Demi Lovato Discusses Eating Disorder Struggle In Seventeen Magazine

Hoping to provide some insight and inspiration to fellow teenage girls, Demi Lovato opened up about her personal struggle with an eating disorder.
The new "Seventeen" magazine contributing editor offered this to readers, “If you are going through that dark period, go to your family and closest friends. Don’t put yourself in danger. It’s very crucial that you get your feelings out - but don’t ever inflict harm on your own body because your body is so sacred. I wish I could tell every young girl with an eating disorder, or who has harmed herself in any way, that she’s worthy of life and that her life has meaning. You can overcome and get through anything.”

Revealing the constant temptation to fall back on old habits, she told, “Yes, there have been times when I definitely have been tempted to get rid of my dinner. But I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a life-long disease. I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it.”
Demi also disclosed the steps she takes to keep herself safe, saying, “I don’t let anyone’s insecurities, emotions, or opinions bother me. I know that if I am happy, that’s all that matters to me. And it’s okay to be selfish like that sometimes, when it comes to your well-being. Do what makes you happy, and don’t care what others think.”
