Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has reached the semifinals at Indian Wells, quite an accomplishment for the Russian teenager who entered the tournament ranked No. 42 in WTA singles. She ousted second-seeded Jelena Jankovic in the second round and seventh-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska in the quarterfinals.

Sharapova Returning
Maria Sharapova is finally returning to the court at Indian Wells - but in doubles only. Sharapova missed seven months with injuries, but will team with Elena Vesnina in doubles at Indian Wells. It is Sharapova's first doubles action in four years.
